Lopez was 100% behind the move and actually bumped himself. so, in the words of Lopez himself, Go Team Lo-Co!
I think the move is awesome. from what I've read, as part of the deal, Conan gets to keep ownership of his show so that's a huge plus for him, considering a lot of his stuff got kept by NBC (the bear, Triumph, Conando, etc). plus, there isn't that high stakes ratings game to worry about w/ cable, so even if Conan pulls in the same numbers, he'll be doing fabulous by cable standards. then there's the greater creative freedom of cable, even basic cable. basic cable is stepping up and doing stuff only the networks used to do a few years back, like developing original dramas. now TBS has got 2 late night talk shows (and Fox still has none). if NBC and other networks continue on their downward spiral, TBS and other basic cable networks could start nipping on their heels
I'm really excited about this move! I love George Lopez and we watch him every night!! Now I can get my fill of mayhem and laughs with COCO too!! YAY!!!!!

well Lopez wasn't number 1 for 12 straight years so it's no big deal if he moves back an hour.
