Is anyone looking forward to the new season of Big Love? It starts on June 11th.

At first, I wasn't sure what I thought about the show; whether or not I'd be interested in it, but after watching a few episodes, I was hooked. The same process happened for me with Showtime's Dexter (second season continues on Sept. 30th btw).

Anway, I am curious about how the "Henrickson family" will function based on the first season's ending. That was quite something.

It took me a couple episodes, but I like the show. Having lived in Salt Lake City for a short time, it's preposterous the multi-wife arrangement could succeed in the city. However, we did witness one of these marriages while on a camping trip in the mountains. The guy even looked like Bruce Dern. LOL

I find the show rather intriguing. Like The Sopranos did for the Mafia, Big Love provides an "insider's" look at another part of society that people are fascinated by even as they reject the lifestyle. I'm definitely looking forward to the season premiere next Monday night.

I did get into the show though the subject didnt interest me at first....Margie annoys the heck out of me,but I think Chloe Savwhatshername steals the scenes.

Chloe is hilarious and my fave...sad about Sopranos but looking forward to more "Big Love"

Bill Paxton is from Texas and a really nice guy. I've liked him since he was so funny as the coward in "Aliens".

Oh so I am not the only...but yes that character Margene was very annoying...extremely immature most of the time and always doing stupid stuff.

I always wondered why the character Bill wanted to take her in as a third wife.

Could it be her very nubile young age?? She IS the noisey one when they have their "time" together,(one show they heard her over at the next house.)So,that could be one of her likable qualities for Bill

Bill Paxton is definitely an accomplished actor... but I too will always remember him for his role in Aliens.

"Great man, that's just friggin' great. Now what the heck are we supposed to do???

(That's my "network television" version of that famous line. )

The whole show is great. I have lived in areas with poligamy. Not being a mormon I didn't see the internat workings of the families much. But seen enough from the outside. The show is close to the true way of living. But as one poster said. It would be very hard to do this with the male bieng a big business owner and all living in a large town. Most families I met lived in the country or "communities".
