Original era. Loved that they basically said that ghosts weren't real, that shifty property owners weren't to be trusted, and that you can walk into any place and raid the fridge without much consequence.

The newest version is ok - way better animated and actual plot and character arcs, but they are often actually fighting real ghosts, which in my opinion takes away a lot of the charm.

Ha ha...

I thought I wouldn't feel that way (if the monsters were "real") but you are right, it does remove some of the charm.

Where are you Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo Movies or A Pup Named Scooby Doo are my favorites. Scrappy Doo isn't a problem but that dumb hick cousin was...

I could tolerate Scooby-Dum and Scooby-Dee even though it was awkward that Scooby and Dum had the hots for their own cousin.

My favorite Scooby Doo era is the one where they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!

I liked the "guest star" ones! I was only a little kid back then, so it kind of taught me a little about pop culture from that time. I probably would never have known who Jonathan Winters or Phyllis Diller were otherwise.

But the original is best.
