I have always loved to laugh, so naturally, I rather enjoy comedies. There are certain television shows and movies I watch for their pure entertainment value, so I can "crack up"! So, just to have a little innocent fun, I decided to list some of the most hilarious and outrageous television/situation comedy shows that have kept me rolling and my eyes watering over the years:
1) Martin
2) In Living Color
3) The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
4) Cheers
5) Saturday Night Live
6) The Cosby Show
7) Benny Hill
8) Friends
9) The Game
10) My Wife and Kids
11) Everybody Hates Chris
12) Punk'd
13) Parental Control
14) The Soup
15) Comic View
16) Will and Grace
17) Roseanne
18) Girlfriends
19) Home Improvement

Reason: Moved from General US.
Wouldn't this fit better in the Entertainment or TV Forum?
Anyway my sense of humor is sometimes a bit eccentric so a few choices might seem odd. Also it's in no particular order.
Carol Burnett Show
Blackadder
Cheers
Grace Under Fire (Although after they replaced the first Quentin it went downhill, likely due to her relapsing into drugs)
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (A bit of a decline after Frank left)
Newsradio
Home Movies
Dr. Katz
The Cosby Show
Everybody Loves Raymond
Night Court - When I was younger, it seems a tad silly to me now.
The Simpsons (Before season 9)
Space Ghost Coast to Coast (The first two or three seasons)
I'm going to deal with the 2000s separate as I think there are very few good comedies that started this decade. The few I can think of are "Everybody Hates Chris", "Samantha Who", "The Office", and "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." "My Name is Earl" had potential, but got too zany. I suppose "Scrubs" is also okay in that it's occasionally amusing or likeable even if I wouldn't exactly say I like it. The Canadian "Corner Gas" isn't particularly good, but by the standards of this decade it's fairly okay as it's likeable and at times educational as I'll sometimes learn something about Canada when watching. "My Wife and Kids" was okay by me if a bit bland. (At times it felt like a "Cosby Show" retread)
There are also comedies I love, but that I wouldn't list as funniest.
Sports Night - More of a dramedy. I love it because of the characters and their travails, but it's not lol funny.
King of the Hill - Not normally hilarious, but loveable because you grow to care about the characters.
The Wonder Years - Occasionally I did find it really hilarious, but the appeal is more emotion-based than comedy-based.
The Andy Griffith Show - As a kid anyway. Similar to "King of the Hill" in that the characters were loveable.
