I think the answer to that question depends on what kind of music you like.

Maybe a more interesting way to go on this thread would be: What were your favorite moments from AI?

For me, off the top of my head:

1. Adam singing "Tracks of My Tears" this season.
2. Katherine McPhee singing "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" (season 5)
3. David Cook singing "Billie Jean" (last season)
4. Chris Daughtry singing "I walk the line" (season 5...though people accused him of lyric poaching).

But the first season of AI will always be the best because we were all riveted because it was new. It's like Survivor...when Richard made the alliance...which now everyone does.

The first season we thought Simon was hilarious (though I still do), Randy hadn't annoyed us yet with his never-ending "yo dawg" comments, and Paula hadn't totally lost her marbles. Unfortunately, American Idol hadn't quite got their acts together so Kelly's album took forever to get released. Now, it's practically done before the ink dries on the American Idol home page.

These were all great. I had never heard "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" and fell in love with the song and really like all of KT Tunstall's songs. Katherine was memorable singing that song. I liked David Cooks "Billie Jean" last year and of course I loved all that Daughtry did.

I have to agree that when I first started watching I hated Simon and thought he was a total jerk and really liked Randy. Now I like Simon and don't really care much for Randy anymore.

My favorite song of this season so far....he did amazing on that

Loved that, but also when she sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and "Till You Come Back To Me"....actually anything she sang...she was my all time favorite.....
Until Adam came along

My favorite of his last year was Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera)

I might also add last year that I liked David Archuletta's rendition of "Imagine"

Also Carly Smithson "Here we go Again"
