I doubt many people will care about a dollar or two price hike.

Brace yourself Netflix and chillers, your favorite activity may be about to cost a few dollars more — to the delight of the streaming beast’s shareholder base.

Netflix stands to haul in a whopping $500 million to $1 billion in extra sales in 2021 should it decide to raise prices (as many on the Street believe will happen soon) by $1 to $2 in all four of its geographies, as Jefferies analyst Brent Thill estimates via a new note to clients.

Since it's a persistent thing, I'm starting to care.

I am mostly irritated that I have to pay for the highest tier of service, up to four users, to get 4K. I have a particular problem with services that structure their offerings so that you have to go one more level up to get something that should be available on more reasonable terms... like cable packages structured so you can't get the four or five channels you actually want without adding at least two premium packages or going up to a more costly "all in" package.

4K and number of users should be different axes on the subscription options.
