Judging from remarks Bethenny has made on her blog and photos of she and Jason out shopping with Bryn in California recently, I don't think they are divorcing.

I think she feels that they went through a rough patch.

As far as putting her counseling sessions and personal issues on the show, she has said she found out on RHONY that her fans always responded better to her being real. She feels that is her selling point and the reason for her fan loyalty ... and ultimately her fans were the built-in customer base that got her the Jim Beam contract.

Jim Beam could have concocted their own low-cal drinks, but they wanted the ready-made customers Bethenny could bring with her.

I actually like her counseling sessions because I think her therapist is very effective. Probably a lot of women relate to stuff she goes through.

That's interesting info about her relationship status. I really think she tries too hard with him, sometimes but in his defense I think he is trying. A lot of their issues might come from both marrying fairly late in life and being set in their ways. I am glad that she is not rolling over anymore, though. She only put up with the "damaged" comments for so long.

I like the therapist sessions, too. I can really relate to a lot of her life, even the rich, disconnected parents and boarding school.

But yes, Beam bought into a goldmine and knew it. Beam has been around too long to not know what they are doing.
