I just watched the second season of Dirty John which focused on the Betty Broderick story. A big part of the end of the season is how Broderick appears to be over the moon going into the second trial as she is sure she’ll be found not guilty after all the positive press and jury comments coming out of the first trial.
And of course she was found guilty and sits in jail to this day roughly 30 years later.
The other big one IIRC is the Menendez Brothers. Although after an intense 3 minutes of Googling I couldn’t find how the original juries broke down exactly. I know originally they were tried separately and I want to say at least one of the deadlocked juries had more jurors in favor of not guilty.
