His trial took 4 years and he's been on Death Row since 1989? Something is wrong with this picture...but good riddance to bad rubbish!

The death penalty for all intents and purposes is just life (or death) without parole.

I think its kinda sad that someone like him should die of natural causes. Why do we sentence people to death and allow them to sit on death row for decades?

Guy not only had no remorse for his crimes but acted like a rock star at his trial.
He sat on death row for year after year and even married. I saw an early interview with him after being arrested and he looked evil and it was obvious he loved the attention. Good bye and good riddance to that f***er!

Yes, definitely inexplicably...

"Inexplicably, Ramirez, a native of El Paso, Texas, had a following of young women admirers who came to the courtroom regularly and sent him love notes.

Some visited him in prison, and in 1996 Ramirez was married to 41-year-old freelance magazine editor Doreen Lioy in a visiting room at San Quentin prison."

No loss here; just another waste of oxygen who should have died long ago.

It's California. They have the largest DR in the nation and the state almost refuses to do what the citizens wish.
