Anyone watch this? The Eastburn case.A woman and her 2 young children were killed violently after the perpetrator raped the woman. The man who they thought did this was tried, convicted to death and then let go--let out. 2nd trial was an acquital and 3rd one, recently, convicted and sent him back to death row.
I saw it, found it very interesting. I thought it was great they could try the guy a 3rd time in a military court, since this time they had DNA evidence. I feel like they got the right guy.
There were people who thought that convicting him "only" on DNA wasn't correct--that they had consensual sex some time before the murder and he wasn't the murderer. I read this somewhere.
The woman had 3 young children and she's going to invite a man in to have an affair with her--while the young kids are there?! If that was the case, they could have easily went elsewhere for the "affair." I mean, children screaming, playing, throwing their food around, just being kids certainly isn't an aphrodisiac! But, that's what he claimed. And, some folks are buying it.
The way these criminals victimize the victim a 2nd time certainly makes you sick. Not enough that they took their life, but after the crime still victimizing them.
I'm so pleased that the military court was able to try him.
