In 1992, my wife and I stopped for a day in a dusty cow-town in northern Colombia called Sincelejo. A week later, she commented that my clothes still smelled like Sincelejo. Well, every time I would buy something new, the old smell of Sincelejo would be imparted to them from contact and exposure. This has been passing on now for nearly 20 years, and a few days ago she said "That shirt smells like Sincelejo". When I open my closet, I smell Sincelejo. It's not a bad smell, it's just --- well, Sincelejo, a dusty cow town in northern Colombia, whose smell is gradually working its way around the world.
