So im flying to Vegas tomorrow. When I travel I like to use my own toiletries, rather then what the hotel provides

I plan on bringing a bar of Irish Spring soap as well as an 18 oz bottle of Old Spice High Endurance body wash gel

Can I carry those in a carry on bag?

You should be able to bring the bar of soap. The Old Spice probably won't make it.

18 oz???? Are you staying 2 months??? But no, you can't carry that onto the plane. But you can have it in checked baggage.

Is there a site to find out specifically what's allowed as carry-on, or checked? I haven't flown in over a decade so haven't a clue, except for seeing those 3 oz. travel bottles. I was told my metal Stanley thermos wouldn't even be allowed in checked luggage? I'd think it would be fine but don't want to have things tossed because I don't know the rules.

Why not buy a travel-sized bottle and pour some of yours into it? That way you don't have to buy a new one when you get there.

I second the motion. TSA will toss your 18oz bottle in a second, even if it's only half full, and then you'll have to buy a new one anyway.

(Can anyone remind me when they're relaxing the carry-on rules? Is it sometime this year?)

I don’t think http://www.hqreplicabag.com is a good choice. My classmate told her unpleasant experience about buying replica handbags from them. The color is not right or even and splotchy.
