Some states are huge, too. Which part of Texas would you choose, for example? Or Florida? California is diverse, not only in population but in topography. You'd get a completely different experience at the north end of the state (Eureka or Redding) vs. Los Angeles. And then there's Alaska, which probably has much more to offer than just Anchorage. Mind boggling just to think about it!
