Hi! I want to travel from Newark Liberty Airport to Fort Lauderdale or West Palm beach for 10 - 14 days in july or august. Does anyone know any airlines or sites that sell very cheap tickets? Hotwire.com sell tickets for $238... which is expensive. Less than $200 is OK.
My parents won't let me go to my sister in Palm Beach if the tickets are too expensive

Please reply back!

Check on kayak.com - they show the airfares for all of the airlines. Good luck!

its newark airport that is making the tickets more expensive. if you are willing to fly out from Philadelphia, the tickets will go way down--but then you have to drive 2 hours to get to Phili...

Also check Spirit out of Atlantic City, though the cost of going to ac or PHL would probably negate your savings. $238 sounds like a pretty good deal in the current climate.

$238 isn't that expensive. You are taking your chances at this point because I don't see airline travel going anywhere but up. The best you can do - be flexible in your travel - dates of departure and dates of return, airports (Newark, JFK, New York, etc to Miami, Ft Lauderdale, etc), number of stops. And then cross your fingers and just look. Forget about all these "cheap airline" websites. Airfares are generally fixed and you won't find it cheaper than purchasing directly from the airlline iteself. But the trick is putting in the right search parameters to get the cheap airfares out there - just get one site that gives all current fares to and from and just keep on checking every day, but don't wait too long...

I like this site, gives you all current fares in the system and you can sort by date and distance of airports..it's all you need:

Default Spirit Airlines

I agree. Spririt airlines have some ridiculously low fairs. The onyl catch is there are certain flying dates and days. But if you can work with it its def. a great deal.

Spirit Airlines - cheap tickets, cheap flights, discount airfare, cheap hotels, cheap car rentals, cheap travel

Try JFK or LGA. Tickets are significantly cheaper. BIG downside: terrible traffic.

Tickets don't get really cheap nowadays due to the price of fuel. 238 isn't that expensive considering todays air travel climate. If you think this is bad, wait until it starts hitting $400 for flights like that.
