We were in Bar Harbor, Maine this past summer. The town is a beauty, but Acadia National Park is right there as well. Stunningly beautiful place. We drove from NY and it was still nearly seven hours to get there. Worth it, though.
Here is another from the same spot. The town is a bit touristy, of course, but incredibly clean and beautiful. We were there in August. The day could reach high 70’s but if you are having dinner around 6-7pm and you forgot a sweater or jacket you might find yourself shivering a bit. Temps drop like a rock in water.
