I did the London to Edinburgh overnight train decade's ago. It was fun, but THIS sounds great! Especially the prices.

There seem to be a few teething problems with the website, and many questions being asked about the services too. It could be that some people may have to stand up for most of the journey, if not all of it, depending on how many seats get reserved, as British train companies seem to have no interest in adopting the US system where buying a ticket guarantees a seat.

I am fascinated by the focus on modern slavery referenced on Lumo's website. Is this common or required for UK companies under the Modern Slavery Act 2015?

Since Modern Slavery is estimated to encompass less than one-half percent of the world's population, I wouldn't expect British trains to be the chief focus of a remedy.

With the German Greens all most certain to be involved in some kind of coalition following tomorrow's German General Elections, there plans for more sleeper trains throughout Europe could come to fruition.
