How much/what type jewelry do you take while traveling?
I usually just take what I'm wearing---one pair basic, gold stud earrings, a basic, inexpensive, dependable watch, and my wedding ring. I don't take my diamond.
I realize what I have is not going to knock anyone's socks off, but its important to me. Regardless if fashion/costume/"real", I would hate to lose any of it.
I feel some of my outfits aren't quite finished without the accessories, which includes pieces of jewelry I selected specifically for that outfit, but I just don't like the hassle of keeping track of multiple pieces of easy-to-lose things.

So, do you take much jewelry while traveling?
No.....just about what you do.....that's enough....
I absolutely love jewelry but I only take one set when I'm traveling and that's what I wear from leaving my front door to arriving back again. I don't carry anything else.
It's just not worth taking more. Especially if it's something that will break an outfit if you lose it.
Other people won't even notice some key piece that you feel makes that outfit, it's only a miniscule fraction of your overall image.
You're wearing that jewelry for you. Just like you put makeup on, just for you. Other people don't even notice whether you wear jewelry and makeup or not.
I'm not big on jewelry save for wedding bands and a 3-4 pairs of earrings. I'll wear the rings every day, and since I prefer smaller earrings, I use one of those small 'pills for a day' plastic medical boxes to hold the ones I'm not currently wearing.
Usually just a few pairs of earrings that work with anything - gold and silver hoops, e.g. Definitely no bracelets or necklaces - too much trouble. I mean, my guy would never notice and everyone else is a stranger so I'm not really trying to impress to that degree!
The only "real" jewelry I take are what I wear on any day. My wedding band, a pair of gold hoop earrings that I bought in Greece over 20 years ago, and a simple turquoise pendant that I never take off. Anything else I might use as an accessory is costume/fun or sometimes a few silver pieces that I can afford to lose. When traveling I have no desire to have to keep up with expensive jewelry, locking it in a hotel safe.
One watch, one ring, but I DO bring an extra pair of contacts.
