For those that live in the US, what would be the best cities to live in if you want to frequently home swap with homeowners in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean?

I would think that cities like NY, LA and Miami would have highest demand from people outside of the US interested in home swapping. Your thoughts? I ask because I'll probably be moving in another year or two. I want to move back to Atlanta but am also considering the fact I'd like to home swap a couple of months out of the year. So I figure I should also consider other cities where I'd be able to garner a lot of interest from people in places I want to visit.....

I would say NYC, Boston, Chicago, Orlando (oddly enough), Miami/Ft Lauderdale, Tampa/St Petersburg, San Francisco, Seattle and LA....with maybe cities like Denver and New Orleans as wildcards.

If you can pick anywhere you want... NYC and SF will be top choices.

resort Ski areas are popular places to swap.

You want a 'destination' place or a 'hub city' with a lot of interesting things to do and ez access to airport / transportation.

LA, LV, Atlanta, and Miami have a lot of available and affordable hotels.

Chicago / Boston can be maintenance intensive (frozen pipes / high taxes / crime).

Personally, I would want a nice scenic place to call home and to have others enjoy.

Generally, I'd agree with this list. Add on LV (the Europeans love Vegas) and maybe Phoenix (but you'll also get TONS of Canadians wanting to visit in the winter).
