My daughter will be spending the best part of a week in Singapore starting next week.

She intends to go to places like Underwater World and the Botanical Gardens.

She enjoys photography, and I wonder if the good members of CD know of anywhere that might be worth a visit.

Thanks in advance,

Jezer.

Yep, the bird park. Walk along the river or take a boat ride AT NIGHT. The food markets and street hawker stands (great, cheap food, too). Little India is fascinating. The night zoo is something the rainy weather prevented during our visit, which I will regret for the rest of my life.

Thanks for both comments.

The bird park and night zoo are things she has identified and it's good to hear others back them up.

I'll ensure that she gets to see all the replies.

There are several really interesting temples if she is into that. The Thian Hock Keng and Sri Mariamman are both worth a visit. The first is a Chinese temple and the second a Hindu temple. The botanical gardens is fantastic, plenty of photo ops there.

Visit Little India during Sunday. Visit the Orchard Road. Avoid Underwater world. There is another bigger Aquarium in Sentosa island.

Thanks. As mentioned my daughter will be in Singapore next week. My wife will be busy working but my daughter is free to do whatever, though she will be looking to watch the dollars.

She likes experiencing different cultures and likes photography and so any suggestions as to where to go are welcome.

I got her the Top Ten Singapore guide book today, but local knowledge is always a plus. They are staying in the Orchard Road area, so there's a start!
