im planing a road trip and well i need additional info so far i got: money needed, days of traveling, and things to take. im looking for info regarding if i need to take any extra documents except for an ID and drivers licence. some extra info:i will be traveling with a cousin not born in the US he only has a passport and mexican consulate ID does he need anything else besides that? thats all i need to know. thnx for any help

He should have his Visa or green card on him at all times that shows he is here legally if he is not a citizen. The Mexican Consular ID is not a substitute for legal papers in the USA. If you are driving you should have your car registration and proof of insurance as required by law.

Don't carry lots of money. Either use an ATM, credit card or travelers checks. Days of traveling depends on if you plan on sight seeing along the way.
