There was talk about putting a Disney World up by Paris, TX on the Texas/Oklahoma border about 5 years ago, but the land deal fell through.

There was and sometimes still is a lot of talk about disney in TX, Sealy, Magnolia, but its all just rumor.

Every once in a while, the rumors would flare up then die down, but its always fun to talk about it.

Take that with a big grain of salt.

There was somebody from Disney Parks on this forum a while back when there were rumors about a Disney World coming to San Antonio. They said to not expect anything Disney in Texas anytime soon.

Besides, Houston does not need that. It will do nothing for the city. Look what it does for Orlando. Sure, it's a major tourist city, but hardly anybody in this country likes Orlando itself. What Houston needs is it's own exclusive theme park.

25-30 years ago a lot of people thought Disney was going to be building around the Beaumont area ( I believe near Winnie) and people were actually buying up property to sell at high prices to Disney. Needless to say, nobody is riding the teacups in Beaumont.

I think since Astroworld has been torn down. Texas should be planning on a new amusment park here because all we have is SFOT,SFFT,and a few other unknown parks. I just feel Texas is extremely too big and we could do alot with the big empty spaces! possibly build the biggest damn amsument park in the world:O jk,lol. If they do plan to make a new amusment park, they should definatly not go with Sixflags because Sixflags is going to die out soon due them losing money on all these unnecessary parks they have built everywhere.

Do you all think Texas should get a amusment park?

They are building an amusement park in New Caney (a Houston suburb). I made a thread on it.
