Can Midland ever get a break? It seems like there is always embarrassing news in the paper about Midland. Just like the article below about Midland Deputies acting childish during a training visit to Austin.

Report: Midland deputies took photos of waitress holding service rifle (http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/2009/08/14/0814deputies.html - broken link)

What, no pics? I am picturing in my mind a cute young waitress in skimpy clothing with an AR-15. Good stuff. Poor judgment on the part of the Midland officers to be sure, but really no big deal.

Simply put: If you have half a brain in your head and the work you do can be described as at least "acceptable", you've either left midland already or are on your way out. It's a pit of retards who have relegated themselves to being stuck here and try to justify that by pointing out the sunsets. Oh and little could embarass the Department here more than the current sherriff, who once murdered a man in cold blood and got away with it, and year after year illegally keeps out "adult oriented businesses" even though allowing the citizens to vote on an ordinance restricting access legally would probably pass.
