Rick Perry's powers are largely limited by the state constitution. As a rule of thumb, Lt. Gov. Dewhurst has more power than Perry does.
Now, Perry has seriously flubbed many of the things he
DOES have control over (the economy is NOT one of them). Perry is in bed with the drug companies, the insurance industry, and the toll road barons. He wouldn't get my vote if someone were holding a gun to my head.
