No way the Lege extends her chaipersonhood (or whatever the hell the PC thing to say is).

This is going to make for an even more interesting GOP primary--we're going to have Rick the creationist wacko vs. Kay the baby-killer from the looks of it.

Just pandering for votes from the base as usual, and making us Texans look like ignorant fools in the process.

I'll take Kay any day. I just cannot take another minute of Rick!

Well then vote. Rick wins because the people pick him. As I understand, Texas has one of the lowest voter turn out.

Isn't saying "Rick Perry Stupidity" completely redundant?

No, I would say that he is preventing us from becoming the next California and allowing the public sector unions to bankcrupt Texas - just like they did in California.

Rick Perry may have his moments but generally he had done a good job of protecting the economy of this state.

He will have my vote...

Rick Perry's powers are largely limited by the state constitution. As a rule of thumb, Lt. Gov. Dewhurst has more power than Perry does.

Now, Perry has seriously flubbed many of the things he DOES have control over (the economy is NOT one of them). Perry is in bed with the drug companies, the insurance industry, and the toll road barons. He wouldn't get my vote if someone were holding a gun to my head.
