Also, with 52 international destinations (14 of which have been added in the last 36 months) DFW is definitely an international destination.

In recent news, there is a deal going through with landing another scheduled service of an Airbus A380 to DFW.

Also, leaders all declaring necessary to build a sixth terminal for this decade.

Has the concorde even been to Houston?

Dallas will never in its history have this kinda prestige.

What does the shuttle have to do with DFW or IAH? That link says it landed at Ellington Field. It's a plus for Houston Metro but not IAH.

There is another skyscraper to be built in Uptown of more than thirty stories which makes two in the last couple of weeks. And then there is Toyota relocating to Plano along with its engineers involved in the design of its pickups being assembled in San Antonio.
how so?
they just announced that they are completely rebuilding Terminal D at IAH to accommodate for future international traffic.
cool.. Houston has already had A380s.
they've been doing soil testing for a few different high rises over the past week around town, including the 39 story residential tower next to Hess garage, and the 32 story Hines Market Square residential tower. not to mention the 30 story Marriott Marquis broke ground a week ago..
FMC Technologies just broke ground on their campus, which is the first phase of construction at the new 4,000 acre Generation Park.

doesn't sound to me like "this whole week belonged to North Texas". it was definitely a good week for DFW though. you guys don't have many weeks like this.

Just curious....what does us not having many weeks like this have to do with anything? No...every week is not like this in Dallas.....But we've had plenty weeks and months like this in the past(look what uptown has become)....of course you know this thats the reason your cup runeth over with envy. Houston is building 100 more tall buildings than Dallas. Its funny how it still doesn't change anything.....

I was just saying yes there is reason to celebrate/post about it. Who said I was envious of anything? Congrats for pulling Toyota. Other then that though both metros had pretty comparable weeks.
What does Houston having hundreds more high rises than Dallas have to do with anything? And what "doesn't it change"?

Yes, it's the 60 and 70 story tower. I agree, I think they are trying to give us an idea of how it would potentially look. It could have been better but it is what it is....

Hopefully, the real renderings will be coming soon (fingers crossed)

Yeah that would be great. At this point it looks nothing more than a fantasy unfortunately.

True...this building is probably going to have a spire if it's going to be the tallest structure west of the Mississippi. It's impossible to have a 70 story building 1,150+ ft without a spire. The building would need to have 15 ft floors for it to be at least 1,050 ft tall.

I believe they said the tallest "concrete" building west of the Mississippi.
