yeah, and we wouldn't trade either. so what does you not trading have to do with the fact that Houston is better???

Get a real Chinatown then we'll talk. Stop relying on your suburbs so much to make you look so important. If it weren't for Dallas' massive suburbs there would be no culture in North Texas.

LOL, okay. You really think Dallas relies on its suburbs for culture???? The more you talk about Dallas, the less reason I have to believe you've ever been here. The only thing the suburbs help out with are population statistics.

The only thing Houston is better at is sucking the life out of you with its unbearable humidity and traffic.

Dallas' diversity lays in its suburbs...Garland, Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, Irving, Carrollton, etc.

That's the sad part.

Your "Chinatown" consists of a tiny little strip center east of 75 in old town Richardson with a couple of Dim Sum restaurants.

Your "Little Saigon" is off of Walnut in Garland where Asian & Mexican businesses share shopping centers.

Your "Korea Town" is in far Northwest Dallas off of Harry Hines practically in Irving where you can find a nice one legged prostitute if you looked hard enough.

Houston's Downtown Chinatown by the George R. Brown Convention Center has served generations of Chinese in Houston. High property taxes & rent over the last decade has forced them to move their busineses elsewhere to the SW side of town on Bellaire. There is even a road side sign designating the Chinatown exit into downtown. You just don't get that same kinda vibe in Dallas like its this big bursting at the seams with diversity city like you do in Houston.

There are lots of cultural amenities in FW, Arlington, Plano, Irving, etc

FW has the better zoo, great sporting venues, great perfoming art venues, etc etc

you know very well that Dallas cannot compete with Houston alone.

See, you guys are confusing the fact that our suburbs actually have culture with the absurd idea that Dallasites need that culture to thrive. There's more than enough culture, museums, diversity in Dallas, but if you happen to live in the suburbs or Fort Worth, there's enough to keep you on your side of the metroplex. That is why Houston's freeways, even at 100 lanes on each side, continue to be perpetually congested. God forbid you live outside of the inner-loop in Houston, there's nothing for you except for Olive Gardens and Walmart Supercenters! Yeah, Fort Worth has museums, a great zoo, and sporting venues. And guess what, so does DALLAS!

And, no, that "Korea Town" in Northwest Dallas is practically Dallas, Matt. Because it's Dallas. And no suburb in North Texas has more density than Dallas. That is a proposterous assertion, even for you.

Oh really?

TXDOT suggests otherwise.

100 Most Congested Roadway Segments in Texas

Keep it up with your pompous lies about Houston, it only makes you look like more of a fool.

You never can back up any of the garbage you post.

He is actually right. There are about a handful of cities in NTexas that are more dense than Dallas

Arlington 3,871.8/sq mi
Plano 3,820.2/sq m
Garland 3,778/sq mi
.
.
.
Dallas 3,697.44/sq mi

And where have you backed up your assertion that Dallas suburbs contribute to its density? What a joke! That's rich coming from you, somebody who doesn't live in EITHER city but talks out of his ass on both CONSTANTLY.

Obviously, Dallas freeways have bad traffic, too. Three things:

1. Conjestion isn't limited to freeways. I hate freeways and avoid them. But you don't need a freeway to get around the city proper. I can get anywhere inside 635 in 30 minutes or less on backroads. I DARE you to do that in Houston, a city TWICE the size of Dallas and TWICE AS CROWDED.

2. Dallas freeways have been outdated for some time and are currently undergoing expansion projects. Let's see that list again after Dallas finally gets the TxDOT love they've been neglected from for years.

3. Houston has four of the top 10 conjested areas in Texas according to that list. Looks like I wasn't too far off.

I guess Arlington, Plano, and Garland are more dense than Houston as well?

Of course not.
