And that's what I love about Houston. It flys under the radar unlike two other Texas cities. I always get a warm & fuzzy feeling when I bring first timers to Houston & see their jaws drop instantly upon entry into downtown via I-45 just as you head around that curve then BAM!!! In your face skyline!

I can remember the very first time I saw that view circa 2000 it was at night & I was absolutely mesmerized. To this day I still get goosebumps from time to time.

Considering Houston once upon a time was right up there with LA in air pollution I applaud the city for cleaning up its act & "going green". Dirty town Dallas on the other hand has risen to the top 10. Way to go Dallas! Woohoo!!! You always wanted to be #1 at everything in Texas it looks like you might finally have your chance.

They musta been from Fargo. If Houston's skyline is jawdropping then so is Dallas'. I've experienced this overwhelming skyline for myself and my first thought, "reminds me of Dallas."

Maybe you need to get your eyes checked.

Houston has the 3rd largest skyline in the US after New York City & Chicago.

Dallas' tallest, the Bank of America Plaza is only as tall as Houston's 4th tallest, the Williams Tower which isn't even located in downtown, but rather Houston's "2nd" skyline otherwise known as Uptown/Galleria.

Very delightful and intriguing post my friend are you sure wasn't high from all the smog and pollution. That may be a factor those certainly are symptoms.

Yep. Downtown Houston is larger than Downtown Dallas.
