I'm single, older, active with horses, want to move to a smaller city or town in Texas with horse to a nice apartment complex or rent a small house or something like that. I just need to get away from upstate NY. I work at home so can live anywhere. Any suggestions. I don't want to live in too hicky an area, gotta have some educated folks around. Sorry didn't mean to sound snobby!!!

Try Spring Branch or Boerne maybe even Fair Oaks Ranch.

why did you post in the San Antonio Forum?....but anyway in San Antonio, oakwell farms is excellent. It has many apartment complexes and it's own stables for residents.

There are plenty of equestrian areas over in northeast suburbs of Dallas. Over near South Fork where JR hung his cowboy hat. LOL. Lots of apartments too in Plano, Allen and Mckinney, quite close by those equestrian areas. I hope that helps.
