yup... if you care about your kids... there many BETTER options than parking your kid in an age segregated USA Public School for 12 yrs. Consider the choices, it is much better to comprehensively educate and prepare our youth. (How much of life is age segregated?... how important is that? fortunately it is just the period of time served by the failed USA Public School system! )

Need a PS teacher job?... head to AK.

Need to educate your kids?... Consider international employment / living.

Need to live in Kerrville..?
1) be a senior citizen
2) don't expect customer service (anywhere... from professionals (Dr, lawyers, leaders... to minimum wagers)
3) be 'ready' for Texas... (+/-) There are worse areas (many)

All three of those towns are fairly small, and they have very limited job opportunities since the majority of the population is either college students or retirees. So, if you are looking to become a schoolteacher, and you need a job other than retail or waiting tables in the meantime, those are not the places I would look to move.

I can say that San Angelo has good health facilities in town, and it is only a little over 1 hour's drive to the VA in Big Springs.

Default Where did you chose?!

I'm dying to know which city you chose. We're looking at moving the hill country in a few years and would like to narrow it down as well.
