We are looking to take the family down to PI this summer for a beach vacation and I need help in finding a place to stay. (it's been over 20 years since I was there in my college days)

*2-3 bedroom, beach front (or one row back) property with a pool. Family area not the big party scene. CLEAN. we would like to stay under $2500/per week.

any good rental websites for properties?

Do they have lots opf houses for rent? We are used to the Outerbanks in NC where you can get great houses 6+ bedrooms for family reunions etc...(I'd be more than happy to help anyone with OBX info! )

Thank you so much

When you're looking at rentals make sure you know whether you're looking at South Padre Island (which is 20 mins. from Brownsville) or Padre Island, which is north of the King Ranch and closer to Corpus Christii.

South Padre has much better beaches and more to do. Plus, you can always take a little day trip to Mexico.

We've stayed at the Saida Towers on SPI, 2 bed/2bath last year for about $1800/week. Summer will be peak season. Our unit was very nice and well kept.

Hi nkotb,
If you're looking for a time to go when the beaches are empty, I would suggest sometime around October/November would be your best bet, probably November is best weather wise--not so hot.

Crowds start mid Feb and until Labor Day.

Empty beaches work for me !! And not too hot also works. I just need a
recommendation for a safe area, since I am alone.
