Could be both, I suppose. But in
this case it seemed like the guy was a criminal intent on invasion (even if, again, the comedy-drama was part of the script). "Hipsters" can be either criminals, or harmless souls just wanting to get high. Just as can clean-cut teenage white kids from upper-class families, who do crazy things just for the sheer hell of it and have a sense of entitlement, can be simple vandals or criminals who just happen to come from a family that can buy them security from law.
But none of that is relevant when it comes to invading another persons home. If they get their asses shot off when doing so? Well, then *shrug*, I guess they should have thought aforehand whether or not their stupid decision was worth the said ass.
