Yeah, and the same is happening in Dallas as well. Dallas received more Africans than Houston. Dallas has also received a higher amount of different Asian nationalities than Houston. You want to believe this romanticism that Houston is head and shoulders above Dallas. The facts state otherwise.

'CITY LIFE'

There are more blacks in Houston than Dallas. That's always been the case and will not change. Houston has a greater population of Asians than Dallas. Yes with over a million people, and counting, Houston is head/shoulders/neck/torso, etc..above big d. The city of Dallas is no match for Houston; run along and try a city your size like Philly, Phoenix, San Diego or San Antonio. Damn romanticism, accept the truth: Houston is bigger/larger than Dallas in every way; believe it...it's real.

I'm not from Dallas. Your "city" life is on the same level as Dallas. Mostly a suburban in nature spread out city. I better never see you try to claim Galveston and talk about city life.

I'm not from Dallas either (thank God a thousand times). My 'City Life' is here on the UES...Upper East Side of Manhattan: I claim New York City. Galveston, Dallas, Houston and Ft. Worth, are all cities in Texas that must stand on their own...like New York City.

If Houston is soooo diverse then why is this even important. Im black and i can succeed in any infrastructure. Im not gonna limit myself to only approve of "BLACK INFRASTRUCTURE" . If Dallas lacks it , its because our blacks dont need it.
I have the feeling from my experience with many races of educated people that they don't need the comforts of their own racial culture to be happy. Being educated and most likely well traveled they enjoy being outside of their typical element to experience new activities, cultures and people on a whole.

lol same here. I think that's why all of the educated races are moving to Dallas. They read the level of intelligence in this thread and it scares them away from Houston.

You do realize you're comparing the diversity and population of a city (Dallas) that has inner suburbs just outside it's city limits to a city (Houston) who annexed it's inner suburbs, right? You aren't making logical sense. Why stop comparisons at the city limits? Do people do that because they know Houston will come out larger and more diverse because of it's annexation of surrounding suburban development? DFW and Greater Houston are set up differently. If you are going to do apples to apples you need to do metro vs metro and sorry that does include Ft Worth in DFW which is not viewed as stealing or cheating or mopping up. It's viewed as a positive to living in DFW.

Then you need to start a metro thread...this isn't it. Unlike Houston, Dallas did not have the foresight to evolve as Houston and other cities with vast city limits (i.e. NY, LA). Now in more modern times, when Dallas wishes it had more size, it has to seek county and metro help to try to compete with Houston; when it should be doing so with places its size like Philly, Phoenix, San Antonio and San Diego. Poor planning on Dallas' part. Dallas annexed as much as it could but is now hemmed in and city limited.
