We live in Hawaii and are planning to move to Texas. How is the job market? are there too many qualified applicants? I have sent resumes on line in yahoo jobs, career builder and monster but no answers. I am seeking a job in the $80K and above area for Director or VP.

Also, which city is best for families with an 8 year old child, christian family and with great schools?

Last one, any decent headhunters that will not rip you off or do nothing?

Thanks for your help!

Fort Worth is a better choice........but anyway, welcome to Texas! I moved to Hawaii for a VERY brief time (my sister has lived there 21 years) and though i consider it my second home because i have been visiting there for all of my 42 years, i quickly realized that it is NO place to live-unless you are filthy rich. even with my very good salary, the dream of home ownership would have been just a dream..and forget land! My sister sacrifices so much to live there. But she doesnt mind being homeless half the time-she says she would rather live in a tent on the beach in paradise, than anywhere on the mainland. so be it.

Thanks for your input bellstaroftexas, and you are right! Hawaii is for the rich. Can you tell me more about Fort Worth?

i would just scope the Ft Worth section here on CD to get a "feel" for it. i love Fort Worth because it is a big city with a small town feel. it is the ONLY city that i have ever felt "at home" in.
