There are lots of maps available on the internet. I don't see it going through any cities.

Pipelines will avoid a city or any other high cost area when they can, one must own a pipeline right of way to put the pipeline. If you dont owe one with room for the new pipeline acquiring the right of way can be costly in a city. Crude oil pipelines run from near the source of crude oil to a refinery which may be near a city but in an industrial area.

Nice map below of the proposed route

In Collin County, it will run just east of Lake Lavon. Hopefully, there won't be any spills with this one (as has happened elsewhere) because Lake Lavon supplies a lot of our water.

I lived in the north part of Rockwall for years. Does Lake Lavon run into Lake Ray Hubbard?

Almost. When water is released from Lake Lavon, it goes into Lake Ray Hubbard.

Yes they release at the dam into the East Fork of the Trinity River which flows into Ray Hubbard. If you map out Wylie, TX and look North of it the Trinity passes under Hwy 78 just above Wylie.

SVTRay,

Can I ask where you obtained that map? The company that is running the project is TransCanada and they have a set of maps on their WEB site regarding this project as well as others. The TransCanada WEB site info is here Oil Pipelines. They don't show that route which is very close to Lavon Lake. The maps they are displaying show the pipeline routed through East Texas.
