In your opinion which city has the best roads/hwys in east Texas? Texarkana in my opinion has the best hwy system. Hwys radiate from the city in all directions and are in good shape/efficient. It's getting much better with the recent completion of the 150 million dollar widening and frontage rd project for I-30 and the extension of the north side loop and I-49 which are underway. In the future a spur of I-69 will come through as well as I-249.

It is definitely not Tyler, they have the worst road set up in Texas for it's size.

I'd say Texarkana has the best road system compare to the other four even though I've never been there. I was judging from the "street map" on google.

I've heard how bad traffic is in Tyler. I guess it's outgrown it's current hwy system. Texarkana's system is being built not just for today but for the future with all the growth that's anticipated here.
