The Rangers will beat the Rays, but they won't win or even go to the World Series.

Great game yesterday, can't wait for today's. Even if the Rangers just beat the Rays and lose afterwards I will be happy. It would be the farthest the Rangers have gone.

*Me praying*: PLEASE LET THE RANGERS WIN IT ALL.

Someone from this area has to win something. We still have months until the BCS National Title Game and Super Bowl, but we've also had TCU NOT make it to the CWS final, the Mavs got the boot in the playoffs and the Stars just sucked last year.

Me too. I hope they do win it. With the new owner it sounds like things are FINALLY turning around for the Rangers. That has been their biggest downfall forever, ownership. They have had too many sorry arse owners. Sounds like this one actually has a brain.

I'm not looking for the Stars to do a whole lot this year but you never know. They could surprise us all. It would be nice to go much further. The last few seasons when it is pretty obvious that they are not going to even get to the cup I've been glad they have been out before playoffs even begin or the first round. Saves me $$$$$ and it rests the players and MAYBE (that is a BIG IF) the owner a chance to reevaluate the team and make any changes necassary.

LET'S GO RANGERS!

Yeah the Rangers and maybe the Cowboys (remains to be seen) could be our only hope. I do think this is the beginning of great things for Texas though. They will be good for years to go. Reminds me of Philadelphia who will also be good for years to come. The problem with the Rangers is that they have been ran like a small market team and DFW is not a small market. But with our farm system, a new huge contract with FSNSW, we will stay around for a while.

I'd say don't forget about TCU, but even if they do finish undefeated (again) the BCS will find a way to keep them out of the NCG.

Unless the Associated press award them the national championship.

My biggest concern is not the Rangers, or their lack of experience etc., but the bias we may face from the league if we go on to face the Yankees. I hope the guys have enough national exposure to not be totally denied a chance by bad calls that favor the network's choice for the pennant.
