I guess "nice" would be relative, but I think it is nice. Low crime, nice people. Average middle to upper income bracket homes.
Not sure if that helps you out or not?

What is the CSX transportation. I notice on the map it runs right around the Warriors Path Lake through Colonial Heights. Does the lake flood and if so how high?

No, that lake does not flood. It is controlled with the Fort Henry Damn. As for the CSX, the only thing I can think of is the freight trains.....anyone else on this one?

So there is a train system that runs through Kingsport. I found a home in Colonial Heights that I like but it has been on realtor.com for awhile maybe it is because of the CSX Transportation system (train system). Do you think? How far up or down is the dam from Colonial Heights? How old is the dam? Have there been any problems with it?

Depends what you mean by "a while" the average home stays on the market for several months here, that is normal. There are rail road tracks all over the region, we are a main freight route through the mountains. Just normal to have rail road tracks. No, no problem with the damn, it was built in the 70's I believe, run by TVA as are all of the damns in TN.

heh heh I like your spelling, mbmouse. A Freudian slip, perhaps?

But just to clarify, TVA dams (note the spelling) are pretty much just in East Tennessee and West Tennessee, essentially around the Holston and Tennesee rivers. In Middle Tennessee the dams are Army Corps of Engineers dams. I'm not sure why.

Ron Trish, no, you can't fish off the dam (note correct spelling JMT and this system used to ****** out the word dam, guess they fixed it heheheehhe)
You would need a LLLOOOONNNNGGGGGG line as it is a way down there.
Just kidding, I know you didn't mean it literally, but no you have to be so far back away from it for your own safety.

Maybe BELOW the dam, but not from on top of the dam.
