I guess we dodged a bullet here in Tennessee since we missed most of the winter storm last week. I really didn't realize it was as bad in Kentucky as it is. I just saw a clip on TV where the governor of Kentucky called it the worst natural disaster in modern history.

Best wishes to our friends to the north.

And our friends to the west, in Arkansas. One of my friends just got her electricity back on last night. She's in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

We, on the Cumberland Plateau, are anticipating a snow storm Monday night into Tuesday. I'm not holding my breathe that it'll happen, but do have plenty of bread, peanut butter and toilet paper on hand.

I had a friend whose electricity in Paducah was out for several days. She and her brother went to a restaurant a few days after the storm, and they ended up helping bus tables and take names because so many of the staff didn't show!
