UGH because of Saturday crowds. I was there when it opened and the vehicles were lined up to get in. Since I'm retired, I wanted to go on a weekday when I didn't have any classes but weather.com made it look like the 2 weekdays when I was free, the weather wasn't going to cooperate.

I just posted some photos taken today, 10-21-07. It looks to me that the drought has had an impact. Although this is my first Fall here so I don't know about the color (typical or not typical), the leaves are kind of curled and droopy looking so even when there is color, it's not really vibrant/healthy looking leaves.

Also, there's an awful lot of green out there for 10/21/07. I was also up in Norris this morning and I can tell you that the foliage up there was more vibrant and plentiful the week of October 8, 2006 than it is now on October 21, 2007. What are missing are the big yellow/golden leaves.

Not quite at the peak yet. Maybe another week or two. It's very very pretty here now, though.

See Bones, that's the sad color I observed in East Tennessee. Even the leaves with color don't look healthy. They are curled and droopy. I think that's how the drought effected them.
