Is this Brandon an area in Tampa or a different city all together?

Default Way different

it is south on I-75 NOT 275. to USF campus which is on the East side of North Tampa bordering New Tampa, it is 25-45 minutes up the interstate which even for this aggressive and bold NY driver was pretty hairy during the day. Use USF as a reference on the map to locate your other frequented places.

Brandon is also less culturally diverse from what I saw. It is a bedroom community no question. There are some nice upscale areas but also some real poverty. the hospital can't keep up with the need as it's a regional but there are a few good school. It's a tough commute to Downtown Tampa and that and the USF area are really the only feasible ones in which to work if you live in Brandon. I hate suburbs but it is pretty nice considering. If I had NO choice I could cope. If your husband will work in an area convenient to there you might like it. It's not too hard to get to the Manatee county beaches from there. Easier than the Pinellas co ones.

Brandon is a suburb of Tampa in the south east portion of Hillsborough County. Tampa is the largest city and serves as the county seat.
