Look at the radar and there is a area of heavy rain 40 to 84 miles west of Pasco county. As is the case almost everytime this winter , there is heavy rain in the warmer gulf water well offshore, and POOF, it dies out within 30 miles of the coast thanks to colder water temps and dry air aloft. No upper level support and no lift means we miss out again, and only the grouper enjoy the rain.

Son of a gun.....you are right again. We got a very quick/short little downpour earlier this morning, when it was still dark, so I put the radar on and saw all this rain you are talking about in the gulf. I thought here we go. Finally some good rain coming.....but then like you said.....poof!
