We have a couple of years before full retirement and wonder if the east or west florida coasts are better. I love attending sporting events
and outdoor activities.

If you want sporting events, the Tampa Bay area is hard to beat, we have multiple professional sports teams - football, baseball, even hockey! Palm Bay/Melbourne doesn't have any teams and they never will. You'll have to drive to Miami, Tampa, or Orlando to see any pro sporting events, except the Marlins used to do spring training in Viera and maybe they still do.
