I have not been to The Fair since 1995 or so. Has much changed? What's the latest scoop. I remember the Ice Cream in the Dairy building , butter sculptures, standing next to Wayne Mahar during the weather forecast when I was 8 years old, demolition derby.

The Fair is the same except that they moved the wine court way to the back, by the grandstand. It kills the happy-go-lucky, half-trashed part of the fair... which I actually love, even when I was pregnant and only watched. lol

Another rule is no cigarettes are sold on the fairgrounds anymore and you can't smoke in the grandstand (which I appreciate... outside is one thing but packed into seats is another.) Other than that, the Fair is the same as it has always been, back to when I first remember going in 1985. (Well, except that no one parks on 690 and walks anymore. lol)

I've never missed a year of the Fair!
