I am looking for a pedestal dining room table. I have looked at all the big furniture stores in St. Louis with no luck (Ashleys, Rothman, Phillips, Carol House, etc). I found a store called Pieper's Unfinished Furniture in Maryland Heights. Does anyone have any experience with Piepers that can tell me about their quality and pricing? Or can give me other ideas of where to go? I am looking for something of quality and still affordable. I am open to antiques as well. Thanks!

We've been very happy with our dining set from World Market. It is extremely sturdy. I see they have a pedestal table, thought pedestal tables will be less sturdy, especially when extended. Charlotte Round Extension Table - Dining Room Tables - Cost Plus World Market
They have several big dining sales several times a year, I wouldn't pay full price.

Elder's on Cherokee! Elder's Ltd - Benton Park - Saint Louis, MO

2 full floors of GORGEOUS mahogany antique furniture. I have seen numerous pedestals there over the years. For the same price as a new, cheaply-made table... you can score a gorgeous well-made solid wood antique table at Elder's...
