Hi all,
I've been dating a girl for about a few weeks and want to take her to a decent restaurant this weekend. I'm also new to the area and not too familiar with the Des Peres/Ballwin area that she resides in.

We are both in our early 30s. Ladies, what restaurant do you recommend I take her to that is in or near the DP/B area?

Looking for something in the above average price range. I won't be around for Valentines Day (I'll be out of town), so hoping for something that will fit the bill.

Thanks for any leads!

The Tavern is probably the closest upscale, good restaurant in that area.

Great, Tavern looks ideal.
Also, anyone know of any nearby cool parks or areas to walk after dinner? Will it be too cold?

I haven't done it in years, but a friend of mine (girl) went about 2 weeks ago with her boyfriend and she said they had a blast.

Love ice skating in Forest Park. But, if you're going to head down there, might as well eat somewhere nearby--much better selection of restaurants.

The tavern is pretty much in a strip mall surrounded by residential stuff. It looks like there's parks nearby, but I'm not very familiar.

A little out of the way but Gianfabios is a great little restaurant in Chesterfield at Olive and Hwy 40/64.
