My grandma has lived in a tiny little neighborhood called Charlack since the 1960's. It's virtually crime free. Nice little houses. Great police department always patrolling the neighborhood. Grocery store is 2 minutes away, 3 gas stations with 3 minutes. The neighborhood has a real butcher shop! Something that is dying in America. Very close to 170, 70, and 270 and maybe 10 minutes to the airport. The houses are older and on the small side so it may not be what you are looking for, but it's worth checking out.
