Whereas last year got off to a surprising positive start, the season went on to finish disappointingly. Being the foolish optimistic fan that I be, here be a thread in honor of the Boys that wear the Note, and the ladies & gents that support and cheer them on... and a congrats to a W for their first game of the season, a 2-1 OT victory vs. Philly.

I am actually going to try and follow the Blues this year. We'll see how that goes even though I have no idea who any of the good players/teams in the NHL even are.

I know Chicago won the Stanley Cup last year only because I was working in Chicago at the time.

I've struggled to get back into Blues hockey, and living away from the metro makes it much harder. I wish KC had Fox Sports Midwest. But I'm also going to try this year! Was very excited to see the opening win. Hoping for another W against Anaheim today!

Blues are 2-0. I'm a season ticket holder and have high hopes for this young team. Halak was a big pickup.

The boys look good so far. They also looked good in their first two games last year. The one difference I am seeing is they are "gelling" better this year it seems like. Anticipating passes, doing quick give and goes, and making opportunities.

Like every year I have high hopes but am cautiously optimistic.

I watched the replay of the game last night. Yesterday was one of the most brutal beatdowns in NHL history. Steen had nearly as many SOG as the entire Anaheim team. WOW

Another win last night, this one over Bruins... amazed and surprised that they were able to get the win, what with how they were playing in the last period. Great goal-tending, and some lucky bounces kept us tied. Oshie - man, what hits he laid out - three of 'em! and many other great plays  Now, get the PP going better guys, and we'll have a very complete team day after day. Congrats on the wins, good work!

And another win last night, this team is off to their best start ever! And the Rams are tied for first half way through the season!!

We have a goalie and a QB; it's going to be a fun sports winter for a change.

As far as Mizzou...ugh
