In some ways it's very economically robust. You're not going to land a million-dollar-a-day techie job most likely, but the number of small businesses that line those streets makes my head spin whenever I'm there.
The types of jobs they have also attract locals from surrounding areas that may not have gone to college.
In general it's a low-key place that has most everything you'd need without having to live in a larger city. Bigger cities are nearby for big city things.
I believe so .

Springfield and Republic have lot of car break ins and car theft more so than Battlefield.

And I don’t know if this is typical of Springfield but the last time I was there people doing drugs in public and person that seems high on drugs in store. Again I don’t know if this is typical of Springfield.

The noise pollution is extreme. Proof of a large percentage of lower socioeconomic class people infesting/infecting this area.
