I knew this was a bad idea when I first saw it years ago.....
When he heard the criticisms from his former friend Magic Johnson in a soon-to-be-released book, Isiah Thomas said he'd had enough. And so he began to fight back.
Probably could be moved the the basketball forum, but I read this article, pretty interesting read. Isiah is easy to hate, Magic is easy to like seems pretty one sided. Growing up in Chicago during the 80s and 90s, there are two players that everyone hated, Isiah Thomas and Reggie Miller (maybe John Starks to a lesser extent). While Reggie has done some commentary he hasn't continued to be a total jag like Isiah has. I love rooting against Isiah Thomas and the last 15 years have been failure after failure for him. It's been rather enjoyable.
I knew that the Bulls hated the Pistons. As an Hawks fan of Dominique, Spud Webb, Kevin Willis, Antoine Carr, and Doc Rivers, Isiah was easy to hate. Sometimes he was easier to hate than Bill Laimbeer.
However, I have a question and am just asking. Is Isiah a Chicago native who grew up in the city? Was he a Chicago legend? I am just asking.
Yeah Isiah grew up in the city, but for some reason he doesn't get a lot of respect here. We bring up other players names like Doc Rivers, Mark Aguirre, even Tim Hardaway before we salute 'Zeke'...
