It’s safe to say basketball is now the #2 sport worldwide and Jordan had a large part to play in that, the same way Pele became the first worldwide superstar athlete and made football/soccer popular in places like the US where it wasn’t much before. You have to give credit where it’s due. The success of Tom Brady in a sport not many outside the US care about just doesn’t compare.
