So I just stumbled upon some interesting YouTube videos of finswimming events in the 2015 Baku European Games. And then I started to wonder why it isn't an Olympic sport. So what are your opinions on the sport? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finswimming

If you are wondering what his time was it's 14.60s (50m freestyle record is 21.30s)
So I haven't made up my mind yet, but for those of you have what is your reasoning, does it look to silly, or its bassicly regular swimming but cheating, or there are already enough sports as is. It just seems that if that's the fastest way a person can swim with his own power, why not. People go racing on bicycles and ice skates as a sport, so why not finswimming? Also if there are any other sports you wish to see in the Olympics, or think that shouldn't be you can mention them too.
Nah. It's not recognized by FINA and doesn't have enough of a high level competition structure, and there are complaints about aquatics already getting too many athlete spots so if it was included they'd have to reduce the quota in more noteworthy aquatic disciplines. I was fine with the open water 10K carving its spots out of the pool swimming quota, but I wouldn't be for this one.

I woud say no. In fact I am against swimsuits that change resistance for the better.
